The House in Pound Ridge
The Town of Pound Ridge lies about 50 miles north of New York City in rural upper Westchester County. This home was purchased as a bucolic weekend escape from the bustle of the city. The original house was built in the late 19th century, and subsequent additions were made in the 1970s and early 2000s. Instead of erasing the history of the home, I chose to embrace the story of the home and allow the design to act as a bridge connecting the past to the present while reaching for the timelessness of tomorrow.
This home was done in collaboration with Michael Woodcock.
